West Bros to debut Alcove
HIGH POINT, North Carolina – Solid wood furniture maker West Bros will add the Alcove bedroom to its expanding assortment of timeless, modern collections at the upcoming spring edition of the High Point Market, which will open for its five-day on April 22.
The group was designed by Blake Tovin, the award-winning New York-based designer who has created a number of collections for the Hanover, Ontario-based case goods manufacturer.
“The Alcove collection is a study in form and function working together to create a design that is as much about aesthetics as it is utility,” Tovin said in a statement.
The collection incorporates unique storage solutions throughout the cases, which are prominently featured in the headboard. “Being able to access books, iPads and phones and store in an ecstatically pleasing way celebrates design and function, and these pieces are designed to store everything from magazines to iPhones,” Tovin explains.
The Alcove bed features hidden storage in the headboard and optional cantilevered nightstands. Other unique pieces include freestanding two-drawer nightstands that can be paired with an attachable mirror to create a storage dressing mirror and a six-drawer dresser with an integrated book shelf slot. The collection is crafted in natural solid White Oak and available in a warm brown/gray finish as well as the standard range of West Bros finishes.
“The pieces are thoroughly modern with an unmistakably timeless quality that will blend in with many room configurations,” company president and owner Paul West said. “Having charging ability within these pieces adds a functionality that truly complements the lifestyle of its owner; each piece functions well – making it furniture for the way we really live.”
