Structube enters Vancouver
VANCOUVER – Contemporary furniture specialist Structube has entered the market here for the first time in its history with plans to have a total of three stores online before the end of December.
The Montreal-based and family-owned retailer recently opened its first two stores late last month, one in this city’s Gastown district and this other in the Vancouver suburb of Burnaby. The third will open next month in Granville.
A spokesman for the company says it now has a total of 50 stores – 20 in each of Ontario and Quebec, with five stores in Alberta, one in each of Nova Scotia and Manitoba and now three in British Columbia.
“Opening in British Columbia has been a dream for us,” marketing director Tony Trew said in a statement, “it means we are able to service our customers across Canada from east to west.”
The stores are supported by a 250,000 square foot state-of-the-art fulfillment centre in Montreal. Structube has more than 300 employees.
Based on purchases made on their web site from Vancouver-area consumers, Structube believes it product assortment will be well received. Structube targets young professionals with contemporary and modern furniture that is both functional and stylish. It also believes its recently reduced prices make its offering more affordable without compromising on quality.
The company launched its e-commerce business in early 2015 and expanded it into the United States this part November. Most of their product assortment appears to be sourced in Asia and the Pacific Rim.
