Steven Sabados returns to CFS
MONTRÉAL – Designer and television personality Steven Sabados will return to the Canadian Furniture Show with a new presentation for attending retailers, designers and suppliers on what’s happening in the world of interiors – what’s hot, what’s not and what’s timeless.
Also included will be an update on his S&C furniture brand.
His presentation will take place on the first day of the show – Saturday, May 28 – at 1pm.
“I’m so excited to be returning to the Canadian Furniture Show to not only showcase the latest S&C furniture but also share what’s new in colour, fabric and profile,” Sabados said.
The S&C furniture brand was founded by Sabados and his late partner Chris Hyndman about nine years ago. Their first upholstery collection was introduced by their manufacturing partner Décor-Rest to generally positive reviews in 2007.
However, Hyndman unexpectedly and suddenly passed away in the summer of 2015.
As a tribute to Christopher and his passion for design, Sabados said a dynamic new product team has been created and will debut an assortment including furniture, textiles, lighting, rugs, decorative accessories and more in keeping the S&C brand’s philosophy of keeping design “timeless, fresh and fabulous.”
“We are really pleased to welcome back Steven Sabados to the Canadian Furniture Show,” CFS president and chief executive officer Pierre Richard said. “Industry professionals will have the privilege to attend this unique presentation which will open our event brilliantly. In 2016, the show continues to renew itself and we are honoured that Steven has chosen to hold his first presentation with us. This touch of glamor and inspiration will no doubt please all participants.”
Previously, the show organisers announced that David Chilton, formerly of CBC-TV’s Dragon’s Den and author of The Wealthy Barber will keynote this country’s only national furniture industry trade event on Sunday, May 29 beginning at 9am.
CFS will be held at the International Centre in Toronto from May 28 to 30.
