Sharp microwave drawer ovens to be sold at The Brick

MISSISSAUGA, Ontario – Sharp Electronics of Canada will expand its home appliance offerings at The Brick to include five of its more advanced microwave ovens, including three drawer models. This is part of the company’s effort to get its advanced technology and design in front of the Canadian consumer.

“We look to industry leading retailers like The Brick to bring the same level of attention, detail and service that we bring to our products as they do to their customers,” Rolland Manger, director of marketing and product management at Sharp Electronics of Canada, said in a statement. “Our partnership offers the Canadian consumer design options and flexibility of appliance placement in the kitchen with a trusted industry innovator.”

The Brick will feature the Sharp’s latest innovations – including design-focused Microwave Drawer ovens and best in breed, three-in-one SuperSteam+ oven – the only oven that grills purely with superheated steam, making food crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The entire product offerings will include:

• 24-inch Microwave Drawer oven (Model SMD2477ASC);
• 24-inch Microwave Drawer oven (Model SMD2477AHC);
• 30-inch Microwave Drawer oven (Model SMD3077ASC);
• 30-inch Sharp SuperSteam+ (Model SSC3088AS);
• Combination 1.5 cubic foot convection and microwave oven (Model SMC1585BS); and,
• Convection over-the-range microwave (Model R1874TY).

The model SMD2477ASC microwave drawer oven – which features a hidden control panel and automatic drawer opening settings – will be the first Sharp product to be on sale in select store locations across Canada.  The microwave drawer experience will include POP displays that showcase first-hand the benefits of the product and a truly uncluttered countertop. All other models are available online or through store-order.

A wholly-owned banner operated by the publicly-held Leon’s Furniture Limited, the Edmonton-based The Brick operates some 220 corporate and franchise stores across the country.
