Roy becomes Ovation
SHERBROOKE, Quebec – Home goods transportation specialist Roy Specialized Delivery has changed its name to Ovation Logistics as part of strategy to update its corporate identity and brand image as it seeks to increase the number of its service points and work force across the country.
Claude Boilard, chief executive officer, noted the home delivery provider currently operates some 40 points of service across Canada and averages 850,000-plus two-person deliveries annually for retailers such as Best Buy, Sears, The Brick and Hudson’s Bay as well as TA Appliances & Barbeques and Brault & Martineau.
Established in 1935, Ovation operates across eight provinces and focuses on the home delivery of furniture, mattresses, major appliances and large consumer electronics.
“We are proud to present you our new corporate identity. It is anchored in our values and in the experience we carry out in every home we service, and to the household names we represent,” Boilard said in a statement. “We aim to become and continue to be the largest home delivery provider for retailers in Canada. We are consolidating our processes and thriving more than ever as we implement key innovations and intelligent technologies to benefit our clients and partners.”
Ovation achieved a 50% growth in business volume last year, he added, and now employs more than 140 employees – 65 of whom joined the team this year. To enable its growth in Canada, Ovation can count on the support of Entrepreneur Capital, a private investment fund that specializes in high-growth-potential SMEs (small and medium sized enterprises).
