MONTREAL – Canadian full-line furniture resource Primo International has entered into a licensing partnership with television personality Mina Starsiak, star of Good Bones, a home renovation program seen on HGTV Canada.

The collection was given a soft launch at the recent Las Vegas Market with the introduction of their first collaboration – Two Chicks Home by Mina.

In a statement, the company said the collection is inspired by Mina’s approachable design style and will feature products for all areas of the home including living room, dining room, bedrooms, kids’ furniture, mattresses and area rugs. It will also be featured at the upcoming spring edition of the High Point Market, followed by a more robust launch this fall.

Mina Starsiak Hawk, star of Good Bones on HGTV, will collaborate with Primo International to create a new line of licensed furniture and mattresses.“Fans often ask me where I get my furniture and how they can recreate my home designs,” Mina Starsiak, originally a real estate agent based in Indianapolis, Indiana, said in a statement.  “I have long desired to develop a furniture collection that is accessible, comfy and inviting for families.  Being a busy mom of two kids and dogs, quality and functionality are also essential.

Primo International is the perfect partner given their extensive 50 plus years of experience in the furniture and mattress industry and their capabilities in globally developing and sourcing products,” she added.

“We are thrilled to partner with Mina who knows exactly what homeowners need and want,” said Primo executive vice president of sales and marketing John DeFalco, adding, “As a home renovator and designer rooted in real estate and home trends, Mina brings a wealth of creativity and direction for the styles, looks and solutions that we’ll be creating together to deliver something spectacular.”

At the Las Vegas Market, Primo introduced what it described as a small sample of the Two Chicks Home collection, including three sofa-in-a-box models and a 12-inch double-sided hybrid memory foam mattress. The company said all these items, which are imported, are designed for easy shipping, storage and e-commerce sales.

Mina Starsiak Hawk is co-founder and owner of Two Chicks and a Hammer, a home renovation business and retail store in her hometown of Indianapolis. The sixth season of her HGTV show Good Bones will air in Canada this June.

The spring edition of the High Point Market will open for its usual five-day run on June 5. Primo’s showroom is located in space M1100 of the International Home Furnishings Center.
