Mark Price joins Sealy Sofa
TORONTO – Industry veteran Mark Price has joined Sealy Sofa Convertibles here in the newly created role of vice president of sales for both Canada and the United States.
“We are very excited to have Mark on board. He has a wealth of knowledge in upholstery sales with a specifically strong background in the sale of convertible and sleeper sofas,” Simon Jervis, senior vice president of sales and marketing, said in a statement.
Prior to joining Sealy Sofa Convertibles, Price was executive vice president of sales and marketing for the Flair/Minhas Furniture Group, the Calgary-based upholstery manufacturer and case goods importer. Before that, he was vice president of sales for Powell Home Fashions, the Mineola, New York-headquartered accents furniture specialist. He also served in senior sales roles for metal furniture specialist Amisco and full-line furniture distributor Primo International.
“Mark will be overseeing sales so I can focus on product development and marketing while we continue to develop the newest addition of motion upholstery and reclining lift chairs with Sealy Posturepedic technology,” Jervis said, adding, “We will look to Mark to help with direction in merchandising the upholstery segment of our business based on suggestions and request from key accounts.”
Based here, Sealy Sofa Convertibles – a division of Canadian furniture distributor Domus Vita Design, offers a range of upholstered furniture that convert to sleep surfaces to motion sofas, recliners and lift recliners with Posturepedic technology built in. It maintains showrooms in the World Market Center in Las Vegas (B1028) and the International Home Furnishings Center in High Point, North Carolina (H543).
