Home names VP of IT

ST. JACOBS, Ontario – Home Hardware Stores has named Gino Gualtieri its new vice president of information technology. He takes up the post on May 27 and succeeds John Rogez, who is retiring.

The co-operatively owned retailer said Gualtieri comes to Home Hardware with over 25 years of international experience as a business leader in the information technology field, across a number of retail organisations. In his roles, he has led the information technology strategy from corporate to retail level execution.

Gino Gualtieri is Home Hardware’s new vice president of information technology.“We are thrilled to welcome Gino as our new vice president, information technology,” Home Hardware president and chief executive officer Kevin Macnab said. “Bringing a deep background in business transformation and process improvement, Gino has helped organisations change and adapt in this rapidly evolving digital world.  He will play a critical role helping Home Hardware’s dealer-owners be Canada’s most trusted and preferred home improvement retail brand.”

“I am excited to join Home Hardware, an organization with a strong brand and a great reputation,” Gualtieri added. “I look forward to working closely with Kevin and the leadership team in the development and implementation of technology and digital strategies designed to support growth.”

Prior to joining Home Hardware, Gualtieri held senior executive roles at a number of large Canadian retailers including Reitmans, Sears Canada, The Brick Group, Accenture and Staples, as well as three start-ups. He is also a member of the Dean’s Advisory Council for the School of Applied Technology at Humber College in Toronto.
