Have you seen Episode 2?

 16 December 2019     Corrie-Ann Knell

BOWMANVILLE, Ontario – Have you checked out Episode 2 of’s Business Cents? It’s where Albert Marrache starts off with a simple observation: if you are a business owner, if you don’t or can’t sell, you don’t eat. That’s sounds harsh, particularly in the politically correct tomes of the modern age, but the truth of it isn’t in any way diminished. And when the changing and unforgiving nature of the competition facing most furniture retailers is considered, it’s a truth that can’t be easily shrugged off, either.

Click here to view Episode Two which is themed: Recognizing Missed Opportunities of the Past and How to Capture Them Moving Forward.

Albert Marrache, president and founder of Phoenix AMD International, in conversation with HGO editor Michael Knell during Episode Two of Business Cents.Remember, each session of Business Cents ends with a suggested reading – a book Albert recommends. In fact, the first 25 people send a question, comment or suggestion to Michael and Albert at [email protected] will get a free copy of that episode’s recommended book. (Please include your name, business affiliation and mailing address with postal code.)

The book for this episode is The Retail Revival by Doug Stevens, the Toronto-based retail consultant, speaker and author. “A really very interesting read, in terms of how he sees retail being changed,” Marrache says. “I would always recommend it. It’s something I have reread two or three times because even though I’m not in retail, my customers are in retail so its very important to understand the changes that are going in the market.”
