HPM registration desk opens

HIGH POINT, North Carolina – The online registration desk for the Fall 2019 edition of the High Point Market is now open for retail buyers, interior designers, exhibitors and other industry professionals, the organisers have announced. The twice-yearly furniture trade event will open for its usual five-day run on Saturday, 19 October.

The International Home Furnishings Center (IHFC) is the largest of the 180 buildings that make up the High Point Market, held each year in April and October.“The first half of 2019 has generated a lot of positive energy within our industry, and we’ve already seen a high level of interest in fall market,” Tom Conley, president and chief executive officer of the High Point Market Authority (HPMA), said in a statement.

“As we firm up our programming, make improvements to our app, develop more connection-building opportunities, and continue to improve upon creating a highly valuable industry-focused event, there will be a lot of pieces coming together to generate a fashion week for the home that you won’t want to miss.”

With 12 million square feet of exhibit space spanning over 180 buildings, High Point Market is believed to be the largest home furnishings trade show in the world. It brings more than 75,000 people to this city in the western part of North Carolina every six months to view product from more than 2,000 exhibitors. Approximately 10% of attendees are from outside of the United States.

Approximately 80 furniture and home furnishing resources from Canada exhibit at each edition of the market. It is largest delegation of exhibitors from outside the United States. It’s not known how many Canadian furniture retailers attend.
