Flexiti signs agreement with EQ3

TORONTO – Point-of-sale consumer financing provider Flexiti Financial has announced EQ3, a manufacturer and retailer of custom upholstery, furniture and home accessories, has signed a long-term agreement to implement its platform across its 14 retail locations in Canada and the United States.

“EQ3’s mission is to make modern furniture accessible and that extends to the payment plans we offer our customers,” Dennis Liu, EQ3 vice president of finance said in a statement. “Flexiti's consumer-focused financing platform complements our commitment to provide a balance in both high-quality crafted home decor and affordability.”

Flexiti said its mobile, automated and paperless process allows customers to apply for a private label credit card usable within its network of more than 3,500 retail locations across Canada. The company believes its solution offers EQ3 a quick and easy way to drive increased sales while making purchases more affordable for customers through flexible payment plans with low interest options.

“We're thrilled to add EQ3 to our rapidly-growing roster of retail partners,” said Peter Kalen, Flexiti founder and chief executive officer. “We're confident our technology solution will bolster sales and build brand loyalty at EQ3 as it has for so many in our network.”

Flexiti counts a number of leading furniture, mattress and appliance retailers in its network including Lastman’s Bad Boy, the eight unit high-impact promoter based in Toronto; La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries; Cantrex Nationwide, the Montreal-based buying group; Kent, the home improvement retailer with building centres across Atlantic Canada; and, Castle Building Centres, the Mississauga-based buying group of hardware and lumber merchants.

Founded in 2001, EQ3 is a division of the Winnipeg-based Palliser Holdings. Its retail approach is to champion original design, domestic manufacturing and promote a Canadian perspective on home furnishings within a modern environment. Alongside its own product assortment, EQ3 offers brands like Herman Miller, Casper, Marimekko and more.

EQ3 has 11 retail locations across Canada, three in the U.S., a large-scale wholesale presence and e-commerce in Canada and the United States.
