E-tailer Silk & Snow launches wood bedroom furniture line
TORONTO – Digital sleep products retailer Silk & Snow has launched its first collection of wood bedroom, which like its mattresses will ship to the customer’s front door in a box and is designed to be assembled without tools.
In a statement, the company noted the collection is handmade using 100% Acacia wood sourced in Southeast Asia and created with sustainability as the utmost priority using organic and non-toxic materials. It uses the Japanese joinery construction technique, resulting in a bed frame that is not only beautiful but easy to build without any tools.
The bed – which is offered in twin, full, queen and king sizes – is also offered with a companion nightstand in price points ranging from $950 to $1,700.
“Silk & Snow’s furniture line is constantly evolving to better meet the needs of our customers and the planet,” company founder Albert Chow said. “It was important to us that our wooden bed frame and nightstand are sourced from sustainable plantations to reduce emissions and that the products can stand the test of time.”
Silk & Snow said the Acacia wood used for the collection is sourced from sustainable plantations in central Vietnam and the Mekong Delta. It features a naturally beautiful grain, with renowned durability. The bed frame combines traditional Japanese joinery with contemporary styling to provide a touch of refinement to any bedroom and is compatible with all Silk & Snow mattresses as well as any other conventionally sized mattresses.
The nightstand, also made from 100% pure Acacia wood, is available in two colours: Cacao and Cortado, both featuring a brass handle. “Together, they create an elevated, minimalist design based on principles of convenience and ease of construction,” Chow said.
Based here, Silk & Snow was founded in 2017. In addition to its bed-in-a-box mattress assortment and the new wood bedroom group, its product offerings include related sleep accessories such as linens, duvets, pillows and mattress protectors.
