Durham to host ‘Breakfast in Bed’ event at HPM
HIGH POINT, North Carolina – Solid wood case goods producer Durham Furniture will continue the year-long celebration of its 120th anniversary with a ‘Breakfast in Bed’ social at the upcoming fall edition of the High Point Market.
The event will take place in the Durham Furniture showroom – in space G1082 of the International Home Furnishings Center – on opening day, October 19 from 8:30 to 11a.m.
Market attendees can satisfy their sweet and salty cravings with a biscuit and bacon bar that includes a variety of locally made jams, an acai bowl and juice bar with freshly squeezed juices and a Bloody Mary and mimosa bar with a variety of creative garnishes.
In addition to the creative breakfast menu, the event will include a champagne toast at 10:30a.m., a custom selfie station and the opportunity to enter the company’s social media contest for a chance to win a custom open console cabinet in a choice of more than 50 finishes.
“There’s no better way to kick-off High Point Market than with an exciting event to celebrate our 120th anniversary and all that the Durham Furniture team has accomplished over the years,” company president and chief executive officer Luke Simpson said in a statement. “It’s the perfect opportunity to bring together our retailers, industry partners and sales team to recognize a major milestone in our company’s history and all of whom have been a part of its tremendous success.”
The event will also provide a first look at the contemporary-styled Milestone collection of bedroom and occasional items geared toward reaching the next generation of consumers and the interior design community. The 24-piece collection features contemporary styles layered with mixed materials in a selection of 15 bedroom items and nine occasional pieces, making it one of the largest collections the company has launched recently.
The market runs until 23 October 2019.
