Bosch Canada joins RMHC as newest national mission partner
TORONTO – Bosch Home Appliances has signed on as the newest National Mission Partner to Ronald McDonald House Charities of Canada (RMHC). The four-year commitment will provide vital program funding and the opportunity to outfit the latter’s 33 locations across the country with the former’s German engineered home appliances.
In a statement, the high-end white goods specialist said its contribution will provide more than 1,785 nights of stay and access to wellness programs for families caring for a sick child.
“Each of our 33 RMHC programs across Canada offer families the familiar comforts of home to help make our families’ journeys a little easier, such as a place to sleep, a kitchen to prepare your child’s favourite meal, laundry facilities, and so much more,” Cathy Loblaw, chief executive officer of Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) Canada said. “Appliances are an important extension of RMHC’s mission delivery and our ability to support the overall health and well-being of our families. We are incredibly grateful to our partners at Bosch for meeting us where our families’ needs are, at a time when it’s needed most.”
Under the program, Ronald McDonald Houses and Family Rooms across Canada will receive kitchen and laundry equipment upgrades to reduce time and provide effortless cooking and cleaning solutions – from quiet dishwashers to ovens that will help families tackle dinner faster.
In addition, RMHC laundry facilities will be equipped with Bosch’s Energy Star award-winning compact laundry pairs.
“The values of service to the community expressed through the work of Ronald McDonald Houses, closely aligns with the core values of the Bosch brand, and our slogan, Invented for Life,” said Dale Elliott, CEO of Bosch Home Appliances in Canada. “That’s why we are proud to support this much needed service, keeping families connected during a stressful time.”
“It’s important to note that the motivation for our involvement with RMHC came from our culture team. It’s made up of employees who dedicated themselves to finding a worthy cause to partner with and support,” Bosch chief financial officer Rainer Kinateder added. “They recognized the immense need to support families who are feeling the stress of having to travel far from home to get the medical treatment their sick child needs.”
