Beaulieu Canada opens Toronto rug showroom
MISSISSAUGA, Ontario (20 July 2009) - Beaulieu Canada's recently formed area rug division has opened a new permanent showroom at the International Centre here.
Located in Suite 224A, the showroom is part of the centre's new SOFA: Source of Furniture + Accessories initiative, which was launched earlier this year with the opening of its new conference complex. SOFA's goal is to transform the building - which is also home to the Canadian Home Furnishings Market each January - into a resource for the local interior design and decorator community.
The Acton Vale, Quebec-based manufacturer, this country's largest manufacturer and distributor of broadloom (as well as hard surface flooring), will use the 2,000 square foot showroom to display as many as 300 SKUs of both scatter and room-size rugs.
"We're very pleased to be a part of SOFA, and are looking forward to providing a unique product backed by over 50 years of success in the carpet industry" said area rug division vice president Paul Jesson said in a statement.
Jesson recently rejoined Beaulieu after taking on leadership positions with both Korhani and Springs Industries in Canada.
Part of the Beaulieu International Group, Beaulieu Canada has tufting and state-of-the-art printing capability at its factory in Acton Vale and access to its parent company's weaving facilities in Belgium. Its area rug assortment covers the value to mid-range price points with designs covering the range from traditional to contemporary.
"As we welcome the arrival of Beaulieu Canada, we are confident that our partners will continue to appreciate our ongoing commitment and determination in bringing quality companies to SOFA," director of leasing and tenant relations Bobby Wertman said.
"It is yet another reason for dealers, designers and decorators to make SOFA ‘the' place to do business," she added.
