Samsung launches ‘TV Selector' website PDF Print E-mail
Written by Tom Philp
MISSISSAUGA, Ontario - Samsung Electronics Canada has launched HDTV Selector, a website designed to help Canadian consumers select the right television products for their homes.

After accessing the HDTV Selector site, visitors will be asked questions about their homes including set-up, viewing conditions, lighting, décor, and budget and room size. The questions range from novice to expert categories. The data provided is then analyzed, and the potential customer is given recommendations about a specific Samsung product to match their situation.

HDTV Selector users may also "re-arrange" their rooms to get a different perspective in a virtual viewing room. Furniture designs and colours, even wall hangings can be changed to suit the viewer.

"With so many options and so many variables to consider when buying a television, consumers are unsure of what will best suit them and often question whether they have the right format even after it's already been purchased," James Murphy, senior director of sales and marketing for Samsung Canada's consumer electronics division, said in a company release. "Samsung Canada is trying to simplify the process so that consumers can feel empowered without having to spend countless hours doing Internet research."
