WATERFORD, Ontario - Canadian manufacturer Plateau Corp. last week announced several new series of audio/video component stands, giving sexy new looks to system displays with sleek designs and finishes.
![]() Plateau Decor's New AV Stand The Décor series features heavy gauge steel tube construction, and the same high-tensile strength glass shelving as its Balance series counterpart. Both the Décor 50 and Décor 71 models are available in the espresso and walnut finishes, and carry price points of $999 and $1,499 respectively. Assembly is required for both, although dealers may choose to pre-assemble for their customers. Plateau's SL series is comprised of video (TV) stands with matching audio units, all of which are finished in satin black. There are 10 SL models available, ranging in widths from 20- to 64-inches, with price spreads from $179 for the SL-MIR (20 x 42.5 x 7.5-inches) through $499 for the SL-2V (28 x 65 x 16-inches). This series also offers optional tables and mirror accent pieces. The SR series (65- and 75-inches wide) is designed to handle even the largest flat panel displays, with larger centre space, ventilation for a/v equipment and channels for hiding wiring. No price points for this series were given in the Plateau release. For the most discriminating consumer, Plateau has introduced its fully-assembled Valencia series in either the 5187 or 79 models, both of which are available in a natural walnut finish, at a price point of $1,899. Model 5187 can accommodate TVs up to 87-inches in width; the 79 can handle flat panels up to 79-inches wide. Plateau will ship these and other exciting new products in September to coincide with the CEDIA Expo 2007, scheduled to be held in Denver, Colorado from 05 to 09 September. The company maintains a web site at www.plateaucorp.com. |
