Caber to show in Las Vegas PDF Print E-mail
Written by HGO Staff
MARKHAM, Ontario (25 June 2012) - Canadian added-value protect and service specialist Caber Sure Fit will show for the first time at the upcoming summer edition of the Las Vegas Market as part of its efforts to enter the U.S. market.

The privately-held firm will show is the Specialty Sleep Association's space, which is located in the space C-1350 of Building C in the World Market Center complex.

Caber will introduce its DreamSerene line of mattress and bedding protection to retailers in the United States. It launched its push south of the border with the appointment of bedding industry veteran Mark Dentale as vice president of U.S. sales in early May.

Initially launched at the Canadian Home Furnishings Market this past January, the DreamSerene collection features both an allergy shield and ‘wet block' technology to provide protection against allergens, bed bugs and water damage. The line is offered in a variety of fabrics made from terry, bamboo and eucalyptus, and uses a step-up model of "value, good, better and best product categories" to address a range of consumer needs. Retail price points range from $59 to $199.

"This is an exciting time in our company's history. Caber Sure Fit has become Canada's leading brand for furniture protection products and we plan to replicate that success in the United States," Caber Sure Fit president and chief executivce officer Bernard Weinstein said in a statement.

"As we enter into a much more competitive market, our key strategic advantage is our innovation. The DreamSerene brand is the result of a $1 million investment in research and development to create a complete line of unique protection products," he added.

Caber Sure Fit is the third Canadian industry resource to announce either an expanded or new presence at the Las Vegas Market, which opens for its semi-annual, five-day run on July 30. Upholstery house Palliser Furniture recently announced it has signed a multi-year lease on the show it first opened this past January and mattress maker Spring Air Sommex will also show for the first time at the summer show.

A number of other Canadian resources also participate in LVM including contemporary sofa producers Stylus and G. Romano as well as ready-to-assemble furniture manufacturers Prepac Manufacturing and Sonax Home Furnishings.
