JOLIETTE, Quebec (07 May 2012) - Couture International will plant a tree for every sofa, loveseat or sectional the company sells, the contemporary furniture resource announced just prior to the Earth Day 2012, which also happened to occur during the recent High Point Market.

Couture International has launched Plant a Tree with Us - which will see the company plant a tree for each loveseat, chair, sofa and sectional it sells in each of the 20 countries where its product can be found.

CDG is not only active in various environmental initiatives but encourages its suppliers and partners to do so as well.

Couture will donate money to environment organizations in each of the 20 or so countries where its product line is sold. One example is Plant a Billion Trees, an initiative launched by The Nature Conservancy in 2008 to aid in the restoration of Brazil's Atlantic Rain Forest.

Couture said the company will give regular reports on its ‘Plant a Tree with Us' campaign to retailers on its planting efforts.
