| Bermex set to open The Factory |

HIGH POINT, North Carolina (26 March 2012) - Full-line furniture producer Groupe Bermex will open The Factory, its new showroom facility here, with a reception for retailers visiting the upcoming spring edition of the High Point Market on the evening of April 20. The 95,000 square foot building, located at 400 W. English Road, will house all ten of the company's brands, including four set to be introduced to the U.S. market here for the first time. Six of the brands will be moved from their current High Point Market showrooms to the new facility including Bermex, Dinec, Shermag, Midi, Jaymar and Bertanie. New to the market will be Dezmo, Liinz, Jaymar Mattress and D-10 Furniture. The Maskinongé, Québec-based Bermex has become one of the largest vertically integrated furniture manufacturers in Canada through both acquisition - Dinec, Shermag and Jaymar - and start-up, according to group president and chief commercial officer Daniel Walker. "The launch of The Factory in April is the culmination of our vision to give home furnishings dealers the product differentiation at retail they need to grow sales, along with the efficiencies and exceptional service that a fully integrated back-end operation can provide," Walker said in a statement. "With economic rebound in sight for the U.S., we have no doubt this is the right time for our debut. We very much want to be every dealer's ultimate High Point Market destination," he added. Walker said The Factory aims to provide a one-stop shopping experience for furniture retailers. All major product categories will be represented in the building; including dining, bedroom, home entertainment, youth furniture, seating - and even mattresses - in styles ranging from contemporary to transitional and traditional. ![]() Originally built over a century ago as a hosiery mill, the Bermex Group will officially open The Factory, its new High Point showroom facility, immediately prior to the upcoming spring market. During the upcoming spring edition of the High Point Market - which opens for its usual six-day run on April 21 - Bermex will offer a multi-vehicle shuttle service to transport market attendees to and from The Factory. The four-floor showroom is a distinctive red brick building was built in the early part of the last century as a hosiery mill. Its original water tower remains an important architecture feature of The Factory, which is situated at the perimeter of downtown High Point. Bermex will officially open The Factory with a reception for retailers on April 20, beginning at 6pm.
