BURLINGTON, Ontario (15 August 2011) - IKEA Canada has announced the publication of the global home furnishings retailer's 2012 catalogue, which it expects to deliver to some five million households across the country. This year's theme is "maximizing space at home." "No matter what size our homes are, none of us ever seem to have enough space," IKEA Canada president Kerri Molinaro said in a statement. "There is no doubt that a small space requires creative thinking, but even big spaces can be challenging as our lives grow and we have more things to store." ![]() IKEA maintains that "nothing says luxury like a gorgeous quality sofa" such as the new TIDAFORS sofa which can be found on page 25 of its newly published 2012 catalogue at a list price of $699. Furniture will get a lot of play in this year's catalogue, the 61st to be published. Among the pieces being featured are:
In addition to home delivery, the 2012 catalogue will also be available through several digital channels, including the company's web site at www.IKEA.ca. The company will also offer an iPhone ‘app' beginning today which will be followed by one of the iPad later this year. Also being offered is a widget that will allow bloggers and other web sites to host the catalogue. IKEA Canada operates 11 stores across the country and is part of the global home furnishings giant based in Sweden. ![]() Also featured in the 2012 catalogue is the OPPDAL bed frame (found on page 170 at $349 for a queen-sized frame with drawers).
