Our promise to our members is to always be on the leading edge of upcoming retail trends and interpret them in such a way as to ensure our members take full advantage of these opportunities. DRSG brings members together with buying and marketing programs, which enable them to achieve a critical mass sufficient to realize important economies of scale. We bring together groups of like-minded merchants confronted with similar challenges. From these groups are born collaborative efforts that form the basis of new retail initiatives, thus helping our members forge ties among themselves and with their suppliers - thereby consolidating their individual strengths. DRSG has well defined systems to measure and improve each member's business profitability, which are typically introduced through regular member meetings held throughout the year. We supply the tools to improve a wide variety of day-to-day functions and in turn hold all stakeholders accountable for each function. A good example of this is the DRSG door counter program. Through this device many aspects of each retailer's business can be analyzed. DRSG also supplies other proven "bench marks" to measure against a store's performance. We will position our members to prosper in today's challenging retail environment. DRSG currently has 44 members operating some 64 stores in seven provinces from British Columbia to New Brunswick. DRSG is a stand-alone organization owned and operated by The Dufresne Group (TDG), which is headquartered in Winnipeg, Manitoba. TDG also operates eleven Dufresne branded furniture and appliance stores and twelve Ashley Furniture Home Stores in Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Alberta. TDG is celebrating its 24th anniversary in 2010, and has continued aggressive expansion plans for the future. With retail outlets in small and large markets, they understand the challenges facing both. Their versatility and hands-on experience leave them well positioned to support the independent retailer in his home market.
