Magnussen Home set to launch QuickFlex 250 at Toronto market PDF Print E-mail

NEW HAMBURG, Ontario (04 January 2010) - Magnussen Home Furnishings will roll out its QuickFlex 250 program at this weekend's Canadian Home Furnishings Market. The new shipping program will offer retail buyers both wide product selection and super-fast delivery with minimum orders of just 250 cubic feet - about two or three bedroom suites.

Under the program, retail buyers will be able to select from up to 25 styles per order and have products delivered to their doors within 30 days on the west coast or 45 days on the east coast.

"We're focused on creating the best possible product flow system for our retailers," Magnussen Home president and CEO Richard Magnussen said in a statement.

QuickFlex 250 is designed to reduce the dollars retailers tie up in inventory while minimizing the risk of ordering the wrong stock and insuring that top-selling items are delivered to their customers quickly.

The original QuickFlex program, which allowed dealers to select from up to 20 styles on a 500 cubic foot order, has been very successful, Magnussen noted.

QuickFlex 250 builds on that success by cutting the minimum order in half and broadening the selection while maintaining the industry's best lead times and world-class customer service.

To make sure the retailer's needs are put first, if the item ordered happens to be out-of-stock, the minimum will be divided among separate shipments. "The dealer never has to over-buy or put their whole order on hold, just because we're waiting for the next ship to come in," Magnussen said.

"For retailers, the key to making money in this business is increasing your turns and keeping your top-selling products in stock," Magnussen noted. "QuickFlex 250 is designed to meet both of those challenges, because at Magnussen Home, we believe making our retailers successful is the key to building our business."
