KLEINBURG, Ontario (13 July 2009) - Cantrex hosted some 160 folks from across the industry this past Wednesday for the final of its two annual golf tournaments at the Copper Creek Golf Club here, raising $10,000 for the Toronto chapter of the Make-A-Wish Foundation in the process.
In early June, Cantrex's Quebec division held its annual golf day and raised $10,000 for Le Refuge des jeune de Montréal, a shelter helping distressed and homeless young men. The winning foursome included Darren Stevens, John Cerisano, John Stevens and Bill Neil from Stevens Omni, a floor covering distributor based in Mississauga, Ontario. Proceeds from this event have been used to support Make-A-Wish for the past ten years. The Toronto-based organization grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions. To date, Cantrex has donated a total of $120,000. ![]() Kimberly Hughes (centre), of the Toronto & Central Ontario chapter of Make-A-Wish Canada, is presented with a cheque for $10,000 by Cantrex's Ennio Reali (left), business development manager/electronics for Ontario and Mike Bittman (right), vice president of consumer electronics and photo. |
