ATLANTA - Former astronaut Dr. Buzz Aldrin will be the keynote speaker at CEDIA EXPO 2009 to be held at the Georgia World Congress Center here, from 09 to 13 September.
After he retired from NASA in the 1970s, Aldrin started a number of business and education ventures to "encourage space education and foster affordable space travel opportunities." He is the founder of the ShareSpace Foundation and author of Magnificent Desolation, Aldrin's memoirs about his trips to the moon. "Dr. Buzz Aldrin's speech will add an element of inspiration to this event," CEDIA Expo chair Jared Blackford said in a statement. "His fascinating story will no doubt be a motivator for all of us." The Annual Meeting & Membership Breakfast, at which Dr. Aldrin will speak, is open to CEDIA members only. |
