Vizio announces new LCD TV line PDF Print E-mail

IRVINE, California (25 June 2009) - Vizio has announced the imminent release of eight new models of LCD TVs ranging in size from 32 to 55 inches, all of which incorporate features like 240 Hz refresh rate, LED backlighting technology, 1080p resolution, and Energy Star 3.0.

The 42-, 47-, and 55-inch models include 240 Hz SPS (Scenes Per Second) using Smooth Motion technology; and two of those models incorporate TruLED with Smart Dimming backlight technology. Vizio's new 32- and 37-inch LCDS have 120 HZ refresh rates, and employ a Slim Line design.

The new models, scheduled to ship between July and October, come with USB video inputs, Mega Dynamic Contrast Ratio, 1080p resolution, SRS TruSurround HD, TruVolume that eliminates volume fluctuations among channels or with commercial breaks, and universal learning remotes. All models are said to exceed Energy Star 3.0 requirements by up to 20 per cent.

As an added bonus, all of the new LCDs will work with Vizio's Internet Apps that includes built-in wireless 802.11n dual-band or wired networking, plus a customized Bluetooth control with a sliding QWERTY keyboard and interactive setup video.

Price points range from US$749 for the 32-inch 120 Hz model to $2,199 for the 55-inch 240 Hz display.
