CHANTILLY, Virginia - BDI Furniture, creators of a comprehensive line of home theatre furniture products, has released its Mirage Tower 8222 at a price point of about US$1,000. "We wanted to expand on the Mirage Cabinet design by adding a contemporary tower which provides storage needed for substantial audio and home theatre systems," BDI CEO and design director Bill Becker said. BDI's Mirage collection comes with a black glass top, tinted glass door and satin black cabinet. |

The new cabinet (photo at left) is 40¼ inches high by 22 inches wide by 22 inches deep with an IR-friendly glass front and five adjustable shelves for a client's components. It features a soft-close door with hinges that can be adjusted for either right or left opening. There are ample vents in the base, shelves and the removal back panel, which is designed to accommodate an optional internal fan. An integrated cable management system is standard. Hidden wheels allow for easy move-ability.
