IKEA buys Alberta wind farm

BURLINGTON, Ontario (14 November 2013) – Home furnishings giant IKEA Canada has purchased a 46 megawatt (MW) wind farm in Pincher Creek, Alberta, making it one of the largest green energy producers in the country.

Sears Canada sells off more property

TORONTO (11 November 2013) – Sears Canada has announced it has sold its 50% interest in eight real estate properties across the country to Montez Income Properties for approximately $315 million. Two weeks ago, the multi-channel retail sold off its flagship store and four others here for $400 million.

Sears Canada surrenders flagship Eaton Centre store plus four others for $400M

TORONTO (29 October 2013) – In a long anticipated move, Sears Canada has announced it will return its flagship store at the Eaton Centre here, plus four other prominent locations in Ontario and British Columbia, to the landlord for $400 million.
